There are 2 strips of plastic canvas (2 bars wide) that are 20 holes long, 2 strips 25 holes long and 3 strips 38 holes long. These look like a ladder when is cut out. Picture of PC strip showing 2 bars (ladder)
When done, angel is about 4 inches high. Whip stitch the outside along both edges. When putting these together bring the ends together to form teardrops and put them in this order: medium, small, large, large, large, small, medium. I used the yarn I did the whip stitch with and went in the end hole.
Use whatever beads you want to decorate with. I used clear nylon thread to stitch the beads on. I didn't have a pearl big enough for the head so I painted a 1/2" wooden bead white and then used pearlizing medium over the paint. It makes them look like pearls and is a lot cheaper than buying pearls.
For the halo I had some of the gold rings that I had found in the wedding department and used on another project. They are split and I cut off a bit and re-formed them into a circle and glued them on.
