Okay TMarie, been there, done that, so here is some advise!!!! I can help you with the blood pressure and the cholestrol, with the pill's you should be taking flaxseed oil pill's and fish oil pill's, Vitamin C. I have had surgery for a blocked corarited artery and was put in a study for the cholestrol and they told me to take these and do not eat anything that contain's hydrogernated anything (sp) try to walk some every day, my blood pressre was 200 over 100 and my cholestrol was at 352, it is now 200 and my blood pressure is at 128 to 138 over 70. I walk 1 1.2 miles 3 day's a week, I do take med's 3 of one kind and 2 of another and I take 2 liptor pill's every night. They do advise eating a banana to help with the potassium so it don't drop down to far. As for the depression can't help there, don't have it.

Hi tmarie! Big huggie coming your way!!!! Don't worry.....doctors always tell you all that stuff. Especially if you haven't been there in awhile. I go every 3 months (just so I can get the GOOD scripts!!!!), anyway, he still always tries to get me to have a million tests! (I just smile, and say, "No thanks, Doc, I'm just here for the scripts!!!!!" LOL! And he always says, "Well, if you change your mind, you know my number!!!!" LOL! Yup, and if anyone else needs it, it's 1-800-Dr. Feel Good!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!!

Well I only take the flaxseed oil pill's, use to eat the flaxseed in stuff but stopped that, I eat oatmeal each morning, well just about, I read all label's and try to get stuff without the hydrog. so it's a job going shopping and reading label's LOL Have to cut down of red meat's, lot's of chicken, turkey, fish (when on sale) and I only eat wheat bread. I use low fat cream cheese and cheeses. I know boring!!!! The walking is also the best medicine, little step's and work your way up. Well then darn must be really depressed as I am a crier, anything can set me off, tv, animal's, dreary day OMG!! Please don't add that to my every day life. I also have PAD which also was in a study for and they again the walking and keeping blood pressure low and the cholestrol under control. Believe me you don't want to go through the operation I went though so if you start now and do this you will save alot of misery. Will look up my label's and send them to you. wish I didn't throw all the literature away that I was giving at this study I would have sent it to you. I have been working with two friends who have the cholestrol and the blood pressure problem's, so they call me Dr information. LOL I hate the pill's too, that is why I take the vitamin's. I am a walking drug store, with the med's perscription and the vitamin's b, c, fish oil, flaxseed oil pill's and asprin a day. I am here if you need more information. Ro

Cinnamon counter acts sugar and cleans the blood. Replace your sugar with honey or molasses. I will send over some recipes from the diabetic cookbook. My hubby has found them really good. And he is a sugarholic. diabeticgourmet.com/recipes/

OK I got to add my health woes to this list. I have had really bad stomach and abdominal pain for the last 3 weeks-started earlier than that, but got really bad the last 3. First saw 2 different internists and they did not know, so they sent me to a Gastrologist and I saw her today. She called in her superior and neither knew what it cause was, so I go for a cat scan on Friday and a colonoscopy next thur. and if that does not find the problems then they will do the test where they put a scope down the throat. Not looking forward to any of this, but I have been in so much pain (close to the same kind as childbirth intensity) that I have got to find out. Are we all just getting OLD. Yikes. I feel really good, except for my gut pain. T-Marie-Hope you can find someway to do some of your needed tests. I also need to take off about a 100 pds. I don't feel that big, but my scale says differently. Take Car Connie

Brooke, I have had my ovaries removed-complete hysterectomy 10 years ago. I have had my gal bladder removed- This pain is very similar to that kind of pain. They did an ultra sound to make sure they had not missed a stone, none showed, but two different dr's have said it might be sludgy type stones and that does not show well in a ultra sound, but the scope down the throat would and they could clean them out if that is it. Other possibles are pancreas trouble, but blood test taken early shows nothing, they did more extensive blood work today. The other possible thing is scar tissue from all of the surgeries that I have had and there are many. ectopic pregnancy, hysterectomy, 3 different hernia's and gall bladder-so that may be the problem to and the only way to help that is more surgery, that can cause more scar tissue-Yikes. Only positive side is that I really can't eat, cause it causes so much pain, so I have lost 10 pounds. (and at least I have extra pounds to lose-smile) Connie

Boy are we a fun group of health problems. Should have a health section set up for us. Witch cures and cheap healthy recipes. Connie hoping it was something easy, same for tmarie but does not sound like it. I have a list of 14 pills a day and can't stand any of them. Did get my self off the diuretics and lowered the diabetes drug down. Cholesterol and blood pressure pills caused drug induced hepatitis so I won't take them. Wow girls were all falling to pot.

Let me start by saying I hope you all are feeling better than the doctor makes you sound with all them test....I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers..... But just to let you all know last year as some of you all know that I went through quite a bit with my doctor's for several months, with lots of bad outcome first having a hysterectomy and was on lipitor for cholesterol/ lasix oral for a water and high blood pressure, and then two for my rheumatorid arthritis in my legs and arms, as well as several different kinds of pain medicine from my pain management doctor, and then one day I got tired of going to the doctor's to refill all the medicines and found out that I have a torn in my rotar cuff which will need to be operated on later this year since several visits to the physical therapy doctor for months... so I decided to go on a weight loss program and as of today I have gone from 282 and currently down to 247 and I started the program on the 20th of April this year....and I have started to take (1) omega 3 Fish oil tablet for my cholesterol as I think Ro has mentioned, I take (walmart brand) Naproxen sodium in the morning and (1) in the late afternoon for my arthritis, and (1) every Wednesday night Dulcolax- to keep me regular...and I take (1) Mega T green tea tablet 1 hour after I eat breakfast and (1) after lunch.....and when I went to my doctor's two weeks ago and had my blood pressure and cholesterol check, both of them were within the required standards, but showed alot of protein in my pea.... but since that was the only thing that they could find and the doctor stated that he was not surprised by that with my weight loss of being high protein and low carbs. So my idea with all that I have done, I think that alot of my problems were related to my obesity problem , now don't get me wrong I still have several more pounds to go and if anyone on here would like to start a weight loss topic and share ideas for recipes and plans for what your are eating maybe we could all give it a try to see if we can help each other.....
