Merry Christmas Eve Everyone

Well we will be getting rain today. But that is okay with me. I have so much baking to do.

At Thanksgiving I was to sick to cook. So I set on the couch and told my 14 yr old how to cook dressing. He did a wonderful job. But they sure are happy to know I will be doing it this time. hahaha
Just took the ham out to thaw. Got the rootbeer and honey yesterday. I had forgot to pick it up the other day.

Now I have to get the garbage ready to go out too.

Jerry gave me one of my gifts early. We have to put it together. OH NO. The 2 of us couldn't even put a swing set together years ago for the boys. I did it. hahaha I got a new drill press. It will be for my birthday and Christmas. My old one just gave out on me but it was 15 yrs old. hahaha So I think I will get back into wood working some this coming year. My dad gave me his little 10 inch table saw in Nov. of last year. And my scroll saw is new too. And everyone that comes in and out of the barn always ask me Gwen do you have this or that. I get tools all the time for gifts and love it.

I have to go to the post office. Robert and Ashley are freaking out. They mailed our Christmas last Monday. Paid for it to be here in 2 days. It has not made it.

I will stop in later today and for sure in the morning. I get up and I set here alone.

Good morning Gwen and all that follow, it's a rainy day here, but at least it is much warmer, getting in the 50's so lot's of that white stuff will be melting away.
Hubby working today, but both hubby and son home tomorrow.

Good morning friends.
Gwen a drill press how wonderful.
My hubby used to buy power tools for me and his friends would tease him.
sure it's for your wife.
I loved getting power tools. Hope to see a bunch of projects from you now.
Well today we have another 5 inches of snow on top of the 16 already here.
The drifts are up over 8 feet in some areas . Worst snow storm in 70 years were back at the 1939 record. My daughter says she will brave the roads and come for dinner tonight but not tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to everyone and be safe wherever you are.
Today it is warmer - around 50 and the sun is in and out, but I think they are calling for a wet Christmas. I had to smile at how the "girls" use the power tools. I was always the one that had to pick up stuff for whatever project my husband was attempting to do, so I knew my way around a hardware store real good. And even now when we have to go to Home Depot or Lowe's, we laugh as I know where to go and hubby just follows. Just one of those multi-tasking things we are able to do. Have fun with your gift Gwen. And Brooke - we have been away from the snow for so long, that I would just hate to think about all that again. Did enough driving in it, got stuck enough times, I just don't miss that.
We too are going to be here by ourselves, so will probably be on the boards from time to time, but Merry Christmas everyone.

I can not believe were all stuck alone with our hubby's for Christmas.
Quite this year.
Next year you can all come to my house for dinner.
If I had chains we would go rescue some of those poor people at the airport.
They have been stuck since Saturday in the airport.
Hubby looke dfor chains before the snow but our car is a special order for tires or chains and there was no way to get them before the winter .
Next year we will be all set.
We have now by passed the winter total for 1937 and pushing the storm total of 1889.

Surfing...It's 50 degrees there? I am snowed in, and it's still coming down!!! I'm waiting for the plow guy!
