when you do the shrink-its .... you will do them 3 times the size you want them to come out .. cause when ya bake them they shrink about 2/3s the size .. really neattttt most of it comes in packages of 10 sheets per pack .. draw .. color in cut out bake .. but keep an eye on large items cause it tends to curl during the baking .. and it will curl up on itself .. hmmmmmm ... lololol sharpies work great for doing the painting on them .. if you use water colors just water them down a tad of what your used to .. the sheet size is 8 x 10 ... ohhh and round off any corners .. ya don't want colors on something that can stick ya ... lololol but loadsssssssss of fun ..

Tmarie ... you could also do ribbon like ornaments for the X-mas tree with them too .. Cut it like 1/2" to 3/4" wide .. and as long as you want .. color them .. and when ya take them outta the oven .. use a pencil pen what ever and while still warm wrap them around it oh yes make sure you punch anyyyyy holes before baking .. okkkk other wise its drill city after baking .. ohhhhhhh yahhhhh .. it is ..

Hi Judy love looking at the ceramic projects; brought back many memories. I taught ceramic classes from 1976 to 1989 and I miss the ceramics now that I can't do them.I still meet people in the stores or restrurants, who talk about when they took one of my classes. Oh, the fun we had during the classes. Thanks for the memories.

I love to do ceramics, unfortunately here in missouri there are very few places to do ceramics. the closest is about 100 miles away in arkansas. to far to drive in this day and age. and gas prices. maybe someday someone will open a shop up closer to me.

I did ceramics for quite a while too......still have the kilns, molds and a lot of bisque in one room of my downstairs......but I just don't paint that well anymore.......I did mostly dry brushing. I never liked the glazing bit. I did mostly Christmas and Halloween.

I have a friend who does slumping and has made some beautiful pieces. We give them the business as the wife is in our craft group at church, and every so often, there will be a bag with various wine bottles in for her to take home. Whenever we craft the minister always walks down to see what all the noise is about and so one day we heard him coming, so we all grabbed a bottle and just sat there. We told him we were slumping.

WE have a church in the area making slumped glass ornaments out of cut bottles. They slump, ad some sparkle, drill a hole and valaa. Beautiful glass ornie they sell for 5 bucks and it all goes back to feed the hungry. They make a great deal of money and everything is donated. My mom did bowls out of left over pieces of glass and lamp shades. Really pretty ones. There is a ton you can do with a kiln. Hugs Brooke
