As you can see, I go by the name Snitch. Doesn't mean I am one. It's a Harry Potter reference.
I was invited to look at this board by Gwen. I know her from another group. I hesitated to join because I don't post much on the other board any don't want to take up space here. I thought I'd give it a try, though.
After over 10 years of teaching 8th grade at my present school, I got another degree and became the school librarian. It is a lot more work than most people envision. I also am raising a 6 year old adopted daughter who is the focus of my world.
That doesn't leave me anything but stolen moments for crafts! I like to knit, crochet, and cross stitch. I used to make stained glass pieces but have given that up. I also did a lot of poured ceramics. Although I haven't done much in a while, I have quite a few pieces of bisque hoarded and still hope to get back to painting them. I'm considered to be quite good at it. I've tried my hand at way too many other crafts to list here as well.
I live in Colorado and I have three cats and one dog (who thinks he is a cat most of the time). I hope I'll be able to contribute something to this group. Maybe it will help me focus a little hard on squeezing out some time for the crafting I enjoy.
Right now I have a goal to use up all of the bits and pieces of yarn I can't bear to get rid of by doing small projects. Last night I started a pair of knitted baby booties. Seems like quite a number of babies are due to be born in my circle of acquaintances, so I thought it was a good place to start.
So,
Snitch
