I have been crafting since I was little,,I would sit for hrs when I was a child and build doll houses for hrs out of boxes,,until I notice the opposite sex,,lol Now that I'm older and wiser and my kids have left the nest I find I have more time to do more crafts..I haven't painted in yr,and was never all that good.but enjoyed it never the less,I make the kandy Bouquets and diaper cakes and have even sold a few at fairs and even had a little cart at a mall,,I would love to try making them dipped bears ..they are so cute. but haven't did that yet. oh and my real Name is Teresa..Marie just happens to be my middle name..and this is me and my babies,,which was taken a few yrs ago..but it is one of my fav Pictures!  |

i am mandylifeboats and i am a big fan of hgtv message board. i do medical transcription at home as well as medical editing; meaning that the doc is using voice recognition and i correct what it doesn't interpret well. it is the worst job in the world but it pays well so i keep it, but i seriously think banging my head against a brick wall repeatedly would be a better option. things like an 84 year old woman still lives at home doing her own "cocaine", should be cooking. it is funny, but it is not because it is part of her medical record. i edit that but it is still there but it covers the doc's arse! i have to read every note and did i mention, i hate it. i love transcription and it comes through as digital files; we call them wavs. sometimes the wavs get voluminous and i feel like i'm drowning and need a lifeboat; hence the name mandylifeboats as in 'man the lifeboats'....i know i am weird.
i live 5 min from salem, massachusetts; the halloween capital of the world. it is not unusual to see people dressed up in capes year round because they can and they do and they look ridiculous and we don't even notice it anymore. i live with hubby and college age kid. she is studying graphic design.
i do calligraphy, quilting and i also like doing small sewing crafts such as applique tea towels, tote bags and my fav, quilted postcards.

well they have always said blondes have more fun .. but sometimes I wonder  hmmmm and ohhhhhh yessss plenty of blonde jokes ... like the one where the blonde says her coffee cup holder on the puter is broke hmmmm or where she asked if she was suppose to be sitting next to the WINDOW with her computer to work ? hmmm or how about the blonde that she was having a hard time putting the puzzle together hmmmm corn flakes hmmmmm ... lololol |

You have a lovely family.
I have always wanted to try that dipping the bear into wax. I have printed the instructions off and ended up throwing it away. If you try it share the pictures.
