Oh tmaire... I hope the heat is on soon for you, cause I remember when I was a little girl... my parents had a coal furnace and when the coal would burn out through the night and you would get up to an ice box....that is where them electric blankets came in handy, I too remember each one of my sister and I had one, in fact I still have mind, but through all the moves lost the cord.... so it wouldn't do me any good to mail it to you..

Gee tmarie, I hope you get your heat and car all taken care of soon. I bought my husband probably a stupid thing today for xmas. I got him one of these tower heaters. I swear we spend all day adjusting the thermostat! He walks by and always being cold - turns it up. As soon as I see that - I casually walk by and turn it down. I know since he has had heart problems, he is colder - but put a blanket over yourself - I can't take off that many clothes! But he'd rather turn up the thermostat - which doesn't say much for what I may look like. So with this heater - he can set it right by his chair and let it rotate all he wants, and I'll be on the opposite side of the room and won't feel it. BUT - I was telling him of what I saw at Sams and I think I may have planted the seed as he was asking about it. Maybe another trip to Sams tomorrow. HOPE HOPE HOPE

Wow, Surfing, am I biting my tongue to keep from saying things I shouldn't. Things like, "maybe that Cricket WAS what you should have bought your husband cause I'm thinking he isn't dumb. He knows that turning up the heat so you'll start removing clothing is just what he wants to really turn up the heat." But, since I'm biting my tongue, I won't say that or anything like it! It was -2 here in Colorado this morning and only got into the teens today. It was back to zero when I got home and I'm sure it is below again now. It is supposed to warm into the 30's later this week and then drop back into the 20's by the weekend. Wish I had a wood burning stove or a fireplace to toast in front of. Snitch
