I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!!
I know we did..the kids left late last nite,,and got home this Am,,they must of drove all nite..both of them ended up sick before it was all said and done..I hope we don't come down with it,,candy said it was no fun,,but the good thing is it only lasted for 24 hrs,,I'm still not over the last bug,,not sure if I cant take another one,,??
well anyways guess what guys Santa came to my house this Morning,,john happen to be awake at 4 am and was watching TV and a commercial was on about the circut,,and he goes honey you should get one of them,,and I said well I would love one but they cost way to much,,,but I said they do have them on sale at walmart today,,lol for 199..and he goes and gets me one,,and been trying to figure it out all day..not as easy as the cuttle bug,,,lol but I will figure it out am sure....
now got to play catch -up

how many cartridges do you have?..I want to be able to do some vinly lettering have you done that yet with yours?,,if so do you need a speical cartridge to be able to do that? and if so which one?,lol,,I also just found a thing on youtube I was watching a video on your tube ,,on it she says you can buy a speical program online and using fonts from your Pc and dont have to buy any at all?
and auntb dont be jealous am sure you will get one soon,,,lol. oh and lynn I dont have a hubby either..John is my honey bunny.....was going to say live in sex slave,,,,,,lol..but he didnt think that was funny,,lol..but I did.......ha ha have to tell ya a story about that now, while the kids were here,,,john and I were in our bedroom and the kids were sleeping out here in the front room,,,Candy over heard john say _honey bunny where are you at".he could tell when my mind wonders off,,lol,,anyways I go right here honey bunny,,and candy goes,,what are you two doing in there,,,are you two dressed in bunny suites,lol and playing hide and seek,,,lol

Oh tmarie Sounds wonderful.
Hope you do something special for him as well.
I watch those commercials all the time and droll over such a fun product. I bet you will be stamping out wall paintings and gift wrap before you know it.

tmarie, i am sooooo jealous of everything ....no husband and no circut ....boy, what a bummer and on top of that it's pouring rain here all day!!!!!!!!!!!! , then this night we get freezing temps and ice ......OH WHAT FUN ....i can't wait ..............anyway i will be watching the ravens play today and drinking ..............hot chocolate so not a com[lete lost ........

Just reading all your thoughts on the cricket. At first I didn't think I wanted one, but the more I hear - the more I think "maybe", but don't know if I can justify the price. I thought I saw that one of the stores (either Michaels or AC Moore) had them for $149 - could be wrong have to go back and check the ads.
Have fun figuring it out tmarie. Think I'll finish up my xmas cards and getting them ready for the mail. I'm trying to do all of this early just in case my husband changes his mind about going north for the holidays. I just want to be prepared. Have a good day everyone.

Hi all! tmarie, I got mine for Christmas last year, and I have 3 cartridges. E*b*a*y is a good place to buy them. Well, for me anyway, because I don't have too many choices for stores up here!
I'm about to order 4 more online, though, because I already have them picked out. Although the cartridges can be pricey, when you outweigh everything you can cut with each one, it is worth it. Plus, you can resize each one. So, for me, it's worth it. But, don't get me wrong, I also love my sizzix!!!!
Oh, and no, I have never tried the vinyl yet, but I'm pretty sure it's the same as using paper.

Just to let ya all know I did end up buying that other programs called sure cut alot which was on the you tube thingy,,,it is $75 but I will never have to buy another cartridge again for any font I want//I just have to down load it for free,,lol.also in alot of the free fonts there are what are called ding bats which are different shapes,,click here to see them www.fontspace.com/category/dingbatsand that is just one site,,,,ok but now some of them are so detailed either I dont have my setting sit right,,or they just wont cut right,,,howver that is another site which is also free where you can fix them,,but havent learn hwo to do that yet,,,,lol..but if your thinking of either buying more cartridges or getting a cricut I would check out the yooutube site I have listed..again the program is called "sure cuts alot" here is there site www.craftedge.com/index.html |

well so far i love it.......lol right now am just cutting out everthing on white paper.. and havnt made anything with all the stuff I have cut out,,I just found this site this am and I just cut out the x-mas blub it is beautiful!!. and I have been wanting to get a scallop punch,,but I wont have to now.lol.. etceteraetcetera.wordpress.com/sure-cuts-a-lot-scal/yes I think am in love....lol |

wish I didn't have carpal tunnel .. now that bill is back on the road again it makes it hard for me to use the cricut ... grrrrrrr otherwise I would have kept mine.. but in someways I am super sorry I returned it toooo .. grrrrrrr it does take some getting use too. but if you will invest in a few of the tacky mats an then your ready to gooooo .. and I mean gooooo .. lololol also you need to play with the settins .. the two grey wheels on the left of it and the cutter itself .. its that brassy looking thing that you put in that needle like thingy ... turn it to the depth that you want .. I would think that cutting the vynel should be like cutting the paper  hmmm maybe .. AC Moore in my area has them for like 129 for the small one ... cartridges run from 49 to 89 bucks each .. if you buy them .. depends .. maybe ya can use the coupons and get them cheaper tooooo .. but that site sounds better ... lololol I just mite go get one again an say to heck with the carpal an just work at it super slow .. lololol |

ohhhhhhhh I was just at the ac moore site .. they have what they call the JUKEBOX BUNDLE ..
this machine thingy holds 6 of the cartridges at one time .. now that makes it easierrrrrrrr .. dangggggggggg ... lolololol cuteeee
