We had our fair/bazaar on Saturday at church and did pretty good. Not as good as 2 years ago, but considering the economy and our location (large retirement area) our bake sale and bazaar made almost $1600.00 on Saturday. We were able to keep up the tables in the fellowship hall till Sunday afternoon, and people after church stopped in and we brought in another $100. The money rec'd we have designated to be split between the local food pantry and to the local battered woman shelter. We are also going to be putting up a couple of tables in the parlor from now till Christmas and we generally get in the neighborhood of $500+. People were very careful as to what they purchased - we didn't sell anything that was over $30 (like my fishline trees and some handmade wood products), but most of the things we had were from $1-about $20. I did sell about a dozen of my cards - I charged $3 for the smaller cards and $4 for the 1/2 fold card. One woman told me that they should be displayed better as they would have sold, but space didn't allow it.

Wow, Ginny, that is awesome!!!! Congrats!!!! Franklin has me convinced that I should have a craft fair. I'm seriously thinking about it. It wouldn't be until spring or summer, but I think I should try it. Even if I didn't sell much, I think I would have a riot. What do I have to lose?
